Honda HRC sets out to tame the Most circuit
Just over a week since competing at Italy’s Cremona Circuit, the Honda HRC Team is readying itself for round five of the 2025 Superbike World Championship, which will take place this coming weekend at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.
Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge were generally pleased with their performance at the latest Italian round. The factory riders battled inside the top five across all three races, with Xavi placing fifth in Race 1 and the Superpole race, and Iker finishing sixth in Race 2. The Honda HRC Team will be aiming to continue this positive trend at Autodrom Most, a track at which the riders faced a few challenges, in very hot conditions, in 2024.
The factory squad is in a stronger position than it was this time last year, and so the bar is inevitably raised, with both Vierge and Lecuona hungry for a podium result. Track and weather conditions depending, the riders will work with their respective technicians to make the best possible start to the coming weekend, so as to be in a strong position heading into the races.
Autodrom Most is located approximately 100 km north-west of Prague. This is the Superbikes fifth visit to Most, though the circuit dates back to 1983 when it became the first permanent motor racing complex in what was then Czechoslovakia. The track currently measures 4.212 km in length and is made up of a great variety of turns, 21 in all.

“After Cremona, Most is another “special” track, let’s say, another at which we had some positive sessions and feeling last year, but where we’ve also struggled in the past. It’s also a demanding track physical speaking. One key point will be the tyres - we usually have a different spec allocation at Most, so we will need to work well on that area of the bike setup to adapt as well as possible. Anyway, we arrive there with a solid base and having made some good progress over the first races of the season, so we will try again to set up the bike to start the weekend fast and then keep growing from that.”
Iker Lecuona 7
“I’m still not sure whether I love or hate Most! Sometimes we’ve had a great feeling there, then other times we’ve struggled, so we’ll just have to get there and see where we stand this year. FP1 and FP2 will give us the direction, and we need to stay focused and ready to react to whatever day one tells us. What’s positive is that both Xavi and I have been strong at very different tracks so far this season, so let’s see if we can tame Most as well.”
