The 2025 WorldSBK championship concluded just three days ago, but the hard work continues for the Honda HRC team as it sets about preparing for a new racing season.

On track at Spain’s Jerez Circuit, the Honda HRC team spent Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 October testing alongside various other WorldSBK and WorldSSP teams. With its 2026 riders, Somkiat Chantra and Jake Dixon, still busy completing the 2025 MotoGP and Moto2 season respectively, the factory squad turned to the wider Honda family for this week’s test. No less than three test riders, in the shape of WorldSSP rider Corentin Perolari, 2026 BSB contender Ryan Vickers, and EWC entry Alan Techer, took to the Spanish track.

Although intermittent rain delayed the start on Tuesday morning, all three riders worked hard across the two-day session and were able to provide the factory team with very valuable feedback regarding the CBR1000RR-R. Having the insight of different riders — not least Vickers, who as a new member of the Honda family rode the Honda Superbike for the first time this week — is always important in terms of the bike’s development.

The team focused on providing the trio with a comfortable technical setup, which allowed Vickers , Perolari and Techer to complete in the region of 120 laps over the course of the two days. All three enjoyed and benefitted from the test and were appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to the Honda HRC Superbike project.
